List of 10 Sections to have on your Home Page of an online Jewelry Store đź’Ť

Are you a jewelry designer and need to revamp your website? Are you an aspiring jewelry designer looking to start an Ecommerce website? — Then this list is for you.

Here we have listed 10 sections we think you should have on the front page of your ecommerce site, to drive in traffic, sales and more clicks.

1. SLIDESHOW HEADER

Upload at least 3 striking images of your jewelry collection.

Having these images at the top of your site allows for not only engagement, it can tell a story and get clicks! When you connect each image to click to a collection of jewelry you are attracting more user experience and will get the traffic & engagement that you want, while also representing your brand in a connecting way.

2. NEWEST PRODUCTS

Create an archive gallery of your newest jewelry pieces, title it “New Jewelry” and include all of your newest products.

This of course is attracting more sales but it also lets your customer know that you are constantly restocking and getting new merchandise. Consumers don’t want to see the same products offered year by year, they want something new, something fresh and having this category communicates with them that you are not only creating new product but that your jewelry business is also successful.

3. DISPLAY COLLECTIONS OR CATEGORIES

I suggest to use beautiful images for this one. Using an image to represent each collection or category here.

Ex: Necklaces, Rings, Earrings, Bracelets, etc..

For this section I recommend either listing our categories of the type of jewelry like: necklaces, earrings, rings, etc… OR you can list our collection, such as: “Astrology Collection” , “Wedding Collection”, “Men’s Collection”. Having this section gives easy access to more of your products and is a subtle way to represent your entire Navigation of your site.

4. HEADER IMAGE OF FEATURED PRODUCT

A still header image of a collection or product you are focusing on promoting.

You want this still header image to be STRIKING. Either timeless or something that you can change out every month or every season. This header should either focus on a direct product you are promoting or a collection you are promoting. This just says, “HEY! LOOK AT ME!” And what buyer doesn’t love a featured product.

5. DESIGNER’S FAVORITES

A product list of the designer’s favorite items.

Listing the designer’s favorite products not only showcases an entirely new collection of jewelry but it also connects the customers directly to the designer, and the maker and creator of the company. This alone is one of the most powerful tools of marketing. We all crave a deeper connection in life, and even to the things we buy. So make sure to connect deeply with your audience and don’t be afraid to write a bio about yourself and be transparent about who you are as a designer!

6. COLLECTION LIST - SORTED BY MATERIALS

This is another collection list, but this time it is sorted by materials, finishes or gemstones.

Ex: Silver, Gold, Brass OR Diamond, Quartz, Topaz, Emerald

People who love jewelry and buy jewelry are either a gold or silver person, or they know exactly what stone they are looking for. So why not make it easier for your customer to find exactly what they want! This also lets your customers know what materials you use and what more you offer.

7. ABOUT THE BRAND

This section is just an excerpt about your brand.

This makes your home page not only feel like a product, it makes it feel like a shop, it makes it feel like your creation, your story. This connects your customer more than you know. It also gives you the chance to remind yourself and your customers about your brand’s story, values and commitments.

8. BLOG ARCHIVE

This includes a link to your blog and list of your latest blog posts.

Websites that have blogs get 60% more traffic than websites that don’t. That’s why blogging is SO important for your online space. Having it on the homepage not only adds to the SEO of your website but it also racks in more viewers and more engagement. I suggest displaying at least 3 - 4 of your latest blog posts and creating a direct link to your blog archive.

9. INSTAGRAM FEED

Create and display a shoppable Instagram feed.

Instagram is a hub for jewelry sales, not only can you post pictures of the products but you can now directly link them to shop the product directly on your site. Use this to your advantage! There are a lot of APPS out there that allow you to create a shoppable Instagram feed.

10. NEWSLETTER SIGN UP

Create a newsletter sign up for deals, discounts, new releases, event information & more.

Newsletters are EXTREMELY important to getting sales for your e-commerce shop. Utilize this space and create a direct sign up link on your home page. Make sure to describe exactly what type of newsletter your subscribers will receive. What will the content be? Will they get deals and discounts? Make sure to include it and make your subscribers feel special so they continue to shop again and again.
